WEEK #4 IN CARCASONNE, FRANCE

Hey everyone!

We had a really great and busy week. This morning we went on another long run. We got another really pretty view of the city and country side! I attached a picture.

As for the rest of the week:

We played ping pong one morning with the non-member's husband. We taught him a lesson the Plan of Salvation and asked him if he could start coming to church and start having family home evenings with his family. We also asked him if he could come to church with his family.

We went knocking on doors later that same day. It was pretty fun. We had a nice pretty walk for 40 minutes until we got to the neighborhood we wanted to go to. We talked to one 20 year old girl that was willing to talk more, but she lived in Toulouse. So we got her number so we could pass it.

We had district meeting in Bezier on Thursday. We had a good meeting about thinking about all the tools that we have been given  throughout our missions. So we all told the things that we have learned.

We went to Limoux again! We passed Catherine, the referral that we are now in contact with. We gave her a Bible and she was very thankful. We talked outside her apartment and she said that when she was more available, she would love to talk to us. So we are now going to try and start teaching her. She is in contact with the missionaries in America, so we want to get in contact with them as well so we can be up to date with all the things that the sisters are teaching her.

We went to visit Jean-Pierre and Francoise's in their little village Alet-les-bains. they are doing great. We talked about the Law of Chastity and the 10 commandments. They are already keeping the Law of Chasity and they are now just waiting to be married. They don't know when they can get married because they need to get their papers from other cities. They are progressing fast though and that's great! Jean-Pierre has a really cool motorcycle, and he let me sit on the seat.

On Saturday we went to Castre with Fr. Hlimi. We met with a member family that lives in our boundaries but they go to Toulouse. We ate with them and talked about the work that we are trying to do. We are trying to find all the less active members there and reactivate them. Then find the old investigators so we can build up a branch there.

It was a very pretty drive over there to Castre. Its about an hour drive away, and we were going through the mountains. There were clouds and rain and it reminded me of Washington State.

On Sunday we had that member family that we saw in Castre come to church. We taught Jean- Pierre and Francoise about the different scriptures that we use in the church.

We were taken out of the class by the Bishop and he told us that there was a lady that wanted to see us. Her name was Miriam and she wanted to see us and learn more. So we fixed a meeting with her.

After church and studies we then contacted.  We did lots of walking around between all those events throughout the week.

So those are the things going on here in Carcassonne! I love you all, and will write you next week!

Love, Elder Acheson
